Today I was at 7000rpm's on 6th gear and my speedo was only showing like 53mph, I understand there's a recall on this, It's a 2004 with 5500 miles on it, can I still claim the recall, or am I too late?

Took the bike to Gables Motorsports, They didn't even turn it on, just wrote down the VIN Number and the new speedometer will be here in one week, free of charge. However the service manager told me that there's an expiration on the recall, and that this should have been done 3 years ago, but that they will cover it anyway.

Or take it back to the dealer.
They were supposed to set the new odometer to match the mileasge of the old bike or give you some paperwork showing that the odometer is off by so many miles.
That is so you can't sell it as a low mileage bike when you know it has much higher mileage.

They did give me paperwork of the miles, and i guess if somebody carfaxes it, it will show the actual mileage, plus the title was just re-registered 2 weeks ago to me when i bought it at 5300 miles. But you mention "setting the odometer" I don't think that can be done, if that could be done a lot of people will be cheating I suppose.
