Someone purposely pushed my bike over last night. I was up early this morning and I went to get the bike out, it was laying on its side. My heart hit the floor. The bike has never been dropped, and there it was just laying there.. I know that someone did it on purpose because my car was in the parking spot beside it. I just don’t get why anyone would do something like that. Anyways, I have some pics, please help me out as much as possible with where I can get some replacement parts and maybe help on replacing the brake lever. (websites links and whatnot) For the most part, the bike held up well… seems that the brake lever took most of the punishment. But besides the lever, the mirror broke off, and the bar end is a little loose. And of course the side fairing it bitched up.

Obviously, NOW, I will be investing in frame sliders and an alarm.

arg seeing that makes me soooooooooooooooooo mad!! Hopefully there was no malice involved and it was just somebody trying to be "cool" and sitting on it and then indavertently knocked it over.  Regardless, the damage has been done and i can only imagine how that feels.  good luck putting it all back together (but for the time being, just say it gives your bike character) :-)

yes I was thinking someone might have sat on it and it went down that way. I was so proud of being in that the unwritten "club" of people that never dropped thier bike or throughout the life of the bike, ever on its side.

I'm real sorry to hear about that.  That's why people (in general) suck.  I looks like it probably could have been worse.  You can use this as a reason to get some pazzo levers now, and like you mentioned, definitely some frame sliders won't hurt.  Good luck with all of it man.

frame sliders my friend, you never know when this shit is going to happen, get a set and it will protect you a little more.

you got lucky. super easy fixes. I mean that still completely sucks. But it could be worse. It appears only the stickers got scuffed up, really. You can get those graphics for about $100. Even if your plastic has some blemishes the stickers(that are stock anyways) should cover it right up. I guess I do see a little plastic rash. Which I would probably leave. But that's just me.

That's bullshit.  I'm waiting for day to witness someone doing something like that so i can beat the shit out of them.  But as for the parts now you have a good excuse to get some aftermarket levers  And i guess just temporarily use a sharpie to cover up those scratches?  btw what kind of flushmounts are those, best looking ones ive seen.

Man that sucks!!!! but it shouldnt take much to fix.  When I dropped mine in my garrage the mirror broke off and I was able to get one off of ebay for like $25.  You can get a new factory decal that should cover up most of that dammage.  Good luck!!!

the rashed decals you can get from ronayers.com. The mirror n lever you can find cheap on ebay. It sux but welcome to the club. Its better to be a realist than a elistist anyhow

and +1 on sliders, and get the cut ones vortex are good), no cuts suck balls, and make sure the pucks are made of derlin or they are just for bling n show n can cause more damage.

That sucks and I would be pissed.  I park my bike wedged between my car and the apartment building with a cover on it. I still want to get a 2 way paging alarm for it so if anyone messes with it I can beat their asses.  I would get a cheap used mirror and some frame sliders and keep on riding.

damn it's stories like these that make me never want to park my bike out of my sight(thankfully I have a garage to park it in when it's at home)...

as far as alarms... there was a thread about a month back that never really gave a definite answer as to whether the Internatrix is the best alarm or not??? Considering it costs less than half of what the Scorpio costs and has pretty much all the "necessary" features to deter punks/"look how cool I look on this bike put this pic on myspace" ppl it seems like the way to go... but would like to hear some testemonials first...

as far as sliders is there a step-by-step on here for what you need to cut the fairing and how you find the exact spot on the fairing where to cut so it doesn't get all butchered in the process???

also would anyone recommend a crash cage and if there are any that don't require cutting??? there was another thread on this as well, but it seemed the concensus was "it'll limit the amount you can lean in turns", but if it protects the plastics as well as the frame it's definitely worth its weight in gold... a decent one usually costs around $250 or so right?
