I know when you change your sprockets your rpm and speed will be off the chart by like 15% ,but what about the heat level on how hot your bike is will that get affected? i just bought a 520 conversion kit vortex -1/+2 YAY!!!! and i really don't have money right now to buy a speedohealer! the speed and odo I really dont care about because this is a bike that I am going to keep forever and as for speed not really important got a police radar and if necessary all you have to do is keep up with all the other cars lol.. my concern would be the heat readings..

After first, it'll be like riding in a one lower gear. No problem.

you will be fine, your engine will run at a slightly higher rpm in top gear but no where near redline (unless you get like a +25 rear anyway) however the cooling system is still more than capable of dealing with a few extra rpms

All well said, the cooling system can handle the extra engine rotation and it will just be like being in a lower gear. Stay conscious of first gear however, your nose will fly higher when you hit the powerband.

you shouldn't be in a low gear when riding city speeds anyway.

this is kinda off topic but when you add a power commander to the bike I know you have to program in the mods like slip on, air filter etc... do you have to program in the sprockets too? becuase i was going to install a power commander this weekend! but don't have my sprockets yet waiting to get em.. bought it off ebay! lol..
