Im a fairly new rider been riding most of this summer on my new 05 600 f4i and would like to get more power out of it... Im definately comfortable with the bike and already had my share of road rash. So im looking for opinions on what i should do as for sprockets beacause im doin exhaust and possibly a power commander setup and would like to know recommendations on sprocket change. I was thinkg of going the whole 520 conversions route with -1 front and 2+ in the back. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I went with the 520 conversion -1 front +2 back and I love it. Powerband comes in a bit lower now and it really pulls. I would recommend it for an intermediate rider.

im also looking at -1/+1 for my 02 F4i.....so my question is how dose the -1/+1 pull out of turns at low rpms???

the bike pulls fine out of turns, but that is a tough question to answer. It all depends on the turn and your rpm on exit. One turn will be different from the next.

I had -1,+2 on my F3 and didn't like the RPMs as high as they were on the highway. My F4i has -1 in front and it seems to be a mild change on the highway.

i have 2002 f4i went down 1 in front and up 3 in back, thing pulls unbelieveably, my bike a strictly a track bike and 15/49 is a great setup for track, for the street the r's are pretty high going thru town but on hi way or back road not to bad. watch out if you are on the street changing sprockets will affect speedo.

Depends on how you use your bike and how you ride it. 525 is just the stock chain, going 520 will lighten the chain and it'll wear a little faster than stock. I went that way on my f4.. and I really enjoy it. Just dropped a tooth and put on an exhaust.. yea it hauls with my little tush on there. I got it cuz I wanted more low end and midrange.. which I got from the 520 conversion. I'm a sucker for speed and corners.

Hey, I have 03 F4i. Went with Power commander, 2 Bros Pipe and can, K&N, and 520 with -1/+2.
Bikes throttle VERY NICELY up (if that is what you are looking for) in first. And with slight effort in 2nd / much effort in 3rd (mostly just a 4" hop)
Power is incredible. RPM is Very tolerable in town. Doesn't change much. Top Speed is barely effected if any. === My recommendation!

PS: My only though for me is this may become my stunt bike (not hardcore, but more) and I was considering a 520 -1/+4 or . But that is overkill for wheelies and agressive riding!

My bike is mainly for commuting to work on the highway and just toolin around town is it worth me changing i have NO itch to do wheelies or track etc. its just plainly for simple riding. i would like a bit better throttle in first though, and ideas would be helpful since i plan on doing some stuff over the winter thanks p.s. as you prolly know i know nuttin aobut conversions

hey if you commute then go with +2 in the rear or just -1 up front.
i have -1 up front which is good for commute cause f4i has that big dead spot below 8K RPM.
much more than that you rev sort of high at highway speeds.

I re-edited my last post I meant to say I dont want to do wheelies and such, so -1 still good or not and what kit do I ask for?thanks
