I just purchased a 2008 600 RR after upgrading from a 2005 F4i. Im still breaking in my bike but I notice that acceleration speed from 0-15 is some what slow and as soon as it hits 15 mph it really takes off. Just wondering if that is normal and Im just feeling the difference from the bike upgrade or not.

Perfectly normal for these bikes. You'll feel a small pull around 3k will not pick up til about 6.5k .. Then you just opened Hells Gate and the bike awakens with all fury!

You need to start that b!tch like your on a Moto GP grid.
Hold the clutch in while getting the RPM's around 4 or 5 grand with one
finger on your front brake.  Slowly release the clutch until you feel
the bike wanting to go & then drop the clutch while crank'n the
trottle.

No more slow starts.

It just takes a little practice.  You just need to find the right RPM's that makes
the bike feel like it wants to go while holding down the front brakes.  You know
you got it down when u do it at a intersection cause some dude in a sports car wants
to man up.

Watch out for cold tires(Tire Spin) or Looping the bike

If you did that on any race grid you'd get left in the dust big time...
on the grid I launch at 10,500 - 11,000.  hold the front brake, load the clutch, and when the flag drops quickly but smoothly let out the clutch.  When you get good you will carry the front wheel about 6" off the ground through 2nd grear no problem.  But I wouldn't do this on the street..

If I took off at 11 grand I would be afraid to do this

throttle + clutch release= good stuff. like that  guy said, just practice and it will be so easy.

by the way, when that cocky sports guy does roll up to you and you leave him at the next red, you feel like you just punched chunk noris in the face, aka a bad a$s
