The Dragon of Norcal?

not quite 60 miles, actually half, but still seemed like forever!  Worst part I got to the destination and the reserve light came on. The richness, altitude, rpm range = ran out of gas a lot quicker than expected. I also didn't know the road would be taking us that far! Needless to say about 35 miles away from the nearest gas station I was freakin out. On the way back once at the peak of the journey we shut our bikes off and were able to coast for probably 10 miles down hill. some points i actually had to break because we picked up so much speed. When i got back to the gas station all the bars had been blinking for awhile and there was no gas in my tank, but i made it none the less. Heres a few pics:

Where is this at? I-80 runs across the whole friggin country.

It's in northern california, just pass auburn. You take an exit called forrest hill and then drive to masquito ridge rd.

how fast did you get going down hill? or was it pretty much because of the twisties?

If you want a twisty roads come up to Redding. 299 west out of redding (eureka way) gives you about 10 miles of the best twisties after you pass
French Gulch you have ever seen. Non stop 25s that u can take at 60 if you have good tires. Check it out on google map.

dont go to redding lol thats out in the boonies, no offense... go to hwy 9!!! looks like a great ride you guys took though.

lol, we got going pretty fast, i would say probably 40-50 at some points, it was because it was such a steap grade at some points.  It's weird going around the turns with no power. It makes for an interesting race though, when the person your racing doesnt have power either.

redding... yeah i hate redding, bad experiances in the past. extreme heat or extreme cold + boonies = no fun. Although, your not the only one i've heard say they have have decent roads out there.

Hwy 9 was fun, not as long as this but it was a lot smoother and safer.

Take hiway 36 out of Redbluff to Fortuna, that is 140 miles of motorcycle bliss!
