I hope you are joking. The GSR 1000 is the fastest bike on the road right now (As far as what I can remember). You won't even get insurance on it. Also reconsider becoming a pilot, my dad is a polit for Delta and he told me there were no jobs for pilots 4 years ago and it has gotten worse since then.

Im 18, have my own insurance though progressive, I pay 34 a month :D
What kind of bike? Progressive was almost six times as expensive as State Farm for me. Progressive wanted 2400 a year and State Farm wanted 495 for full coverage.

also if you are planning on getting a gxsr 1000 be prepared to drop it basically no matter what you will get a scratch on it or hit something it just happens because you dont know how to handle the bike yet on the road or in a parking lot or just pushing it out of the garage. do you want to scratch the hell out of a nice bike? or just buy a "begginer" bike like a 5 or 600 trash it then a year or so later "when your 1000 comes out all new" get that then you will be ready.
take it easy and respect the bike

BTW i got insurance for my cbr900rr and im 18 for 544 a year from GIECO and i am suprised that progressive was almost double that, Gieco used to be the most expensive
wierd

I am 17 and got liabilty on a 05 f4i for a little over 300 a month
Isn't that 3600 A YEAR??? Holy crap!!! Holy crap! My first car didn't cost that much, my first rolex cost half that much.
I guess the good news is, when you are paying 10 dollars a day to insure youre bike, you don't have any money to piss away on crack or heroin. I hope you find cheaper insurance soon.

WHen you buy a bike and its financed you have to have full coverage anything you buy that the bank owns the title for (vehical wise) you need full coverage unless you can somehow get the title and the finance company thinks its on the way when its really not ( haha thats how i didi it lol so i only have liability) and as for the 1000 i dunno if you should do that if you have never rode befor me i raced dirty bikes for years and everyone would tell me you dont need a 1000 blah blah blah well yeah its slightly different from the dirt but same tech. the bikes are like feathers when your riding them total control but id say go ahead and get the 1000 if you've ridin' before but other then that dont start samll and like you said 09' isnt so far away. Plus my roomate has an 04 gsxr1000 and my cbr1000 blows that away so try a honda and my bike is 10 yrs older then his. But anyways welcome...
