Hi ya all~

I recently purchased a beautiful CBRf4i.   This is my baby, and I need this to be secure!!!  I live in Tucson, Arizona, and it is ranked one of nation's highest vehicle theft area.  So, I need everyone's help.

I've looked through couple posts in the forum, but I couldn't get exactly what I should do.
I live in an apartment, and my car has been robbed twice already.  I need some secure way to fights these F**kers.

I've considered alarm (scorpio or gorilla or anyone know something better?), disk-lock brake.

What do you guys do to prevent from people stealing your bike?

Thanx.

haha well from the way it sounds seems like your bike is going to get stolen. I mean an alarm, disc lock brake, and keep it locked around a meter or light post or something.

But no matter what if they want your bike they will get it. The disc lock is good enough to wake you up then maybe get a pit bull and when u hear it let him out hahaha

1) Get really good insurance
2) Ride the piss out of it
3) When it gets stolen, take the cash, get another bike, and repeat step 2.

Or, move to Idaho and stop reading stats.

nothing is going to stop someone who really wants it. just make sure you have full coverage insurance.

Get a heavy ass cement block, kinda like the ones on the ends of parking spaces so cars don't drive onto grass and such.  Drill a hole through it, and chain your bike to it.

The absolute best way to keep your bike from being stolen while outside your apart is to chain it to something.  An alarm can be silenced, and a disc lock won't do any good when the wheel is off the ground.

Good luck =)

they make disc locks that start 120db siren if the bike is even shaked hahaha.

+1 to what the guys above said - get an alarm/siren, disc lock, and chain that sucker down to a post or something.  you could also chain it to your car...

Drill out the avement and install big anchors in the ground.  Or keep it in a garage or storage.  I have a garage, wouldn't dream of leaving them outside.

Get an insurence and some kind of alarm and thats all. Or if you want get a pit bull and put him in the dog house next to the bike and make the chain long enough so he can chase the thefts around the corner. And then keep a shutgun under youre bed so when you hear the pit bark you lock and load.

what up mang,
I live in tucson also; and still have my bike.. 'knock on wood'... scropio is the way to go for alarms. My alarm has a sensor that goes off when fu#!ers get too close. it will also tell u on the remote if it goes off with in a 1/2 mile radius.. shit you can even shut off your bike if someone takes off within a 1/2 mile from the remote. i've tested it.
disk locks also are good visual deterrents ; but if a thief really wants your bike they can just pick it up and throw it in a truck.
just move out of the appartment and get a house with a garage.
problem solved.

I am guessing you can't put the bike in your apartment?

I wedge my bike between my car and the apartment building, and I sometimes lock my bike to my car.  I also keep full coverage on it.

If I was in a high crime area, I would get a 2 way gorilla paging alarm.  But if you do that, you better have a gun to go with it.  I think a cheap pump 12 gauge with slugs would be sufficient.

Insurance is your best security.

GET THIS- I found a website that sells GPS blockers and cell phone blockers. A person could get both for around $150 total. That means that if they have this, it wouldn't matter if you do have GPS or GSM or RF alarms, your screwed! Chains can be broken. Heck, I even know of a guy locally that had his apartment broken into and the only thing they stole was the bike.

Personally, I would use a chain and I would also suggest an audible alarm with an LED flashing light.

But trust me on the insurance!
