Ok,
I am hung up on this exhaust debate with myself I have purchased a new bike (06 600RR but i live in Canada and for some reason it seems to be taking a long time for the dealer to get the shipment but i would like to buy a pipe and just have them put it right on during assembly or would this be a bad idea to use a pipe during break in?).....if not which one to go with i see two main ones the yoshi RS-5 and the Jardine RT-1....does anyone have a Erion pipe aren't they designed specifically for honda's? yet they seem so unpopular? why is this are they bad?

Get both a slip on and the Power Commander but I would wait a while "for the fun of it". I thought it was fun to first ride the bike around stock for a few hundred miles then buy the Power Commander, install it to see what difference it made alone. Then after playing with the recommended stock map I put the exhaust on and upgraded the map for the new exhaust.
It's all about Fun! Fun! Fun!

you don't need a pcIII with a slip on only...you might still want one but isn't necessary

I installed my jardine about 3500 miles in and i guess it's all up to you if you wanna wait. i know that the jardine sounds pretty good....

I have just the Yoshi and it is great. I am not getting the programmer as it seems it is not needed with just the slip on. I went back and forth for a month. Seems to me it came down to looks. Like the look of the Yoshi, matches the stock lines in my opinion. Good luck.

Which ever pipe you choose make sure you run your bike on a dyno after break in so you can get baseline numbers for your motor, then you can see how much power each mod adds to your bike.

You should go with arata. Puts out good numbers. go to 600rr.net and search arata exhausts. There is a guy named birdman who has a lot of info on them.
