Hey guys Im at wits end with my F4i and need help. This might be a little long so please try to keep with it...I have a 2001 f4i with 8xxx miles on it. Last fall I started having stalling issues. Got it checked out it was a bad fuel map sensor. Got it fixed and ran perfect for several months. Well about 6 months later it started stalling and sputtering like the last time. So i though the part was bad. My bike sat for w few months and when I tried to load in on the truck to take it to the shop it doesnt start at all now. It only cranks on what sounds like 2 cylinders. It had no isseus beside the stalling when I parked it. Now I cant get it to start and my local mechanic told me from listening to it that my "motor was blown." So I just kinda pused it aside for a while then for some reason a few months ago I tried to start it and it fired right up...Ran good for a few days then now it wont start again...I have no idea what is wrong and its driving me crazy!!!

holy moly sounds like you could have quite a few things going on...
what do you mean it only cranks on what sounds like 2 cylinders? Any way to get a video or sound clip posted?
There are many on this forum much more knowledgeable than I, but any time a problem like this occurs, the first thing I think of is that there is an electrical problem (mechanical / fuel problems rarely "fix" themselves). Are your sure your injectors are working properly?
Try to take it to a qualified mechanic if you can't find your answer here, but hopefully somebody smart will post here soon
