Im thinking about getting or making a throttle rocker for those long highway trips. So, does anyone use them? Seem like a great idea...and a great wrist saver.

I don't like the idea of it. Although I LOVE cruise control on a car, I don't feel it belongs on a bike because once you stop paying attention to controlling the throttle, it seems to me you'd become more relaxed and pay less attention to other things as well. Less controls gives you more time to be distracted.

I use it.
It helps with the long rides.
If you don't like it, or think it is silly, just take it off.
I leave mine on.
edit: Your talking about Throttle Rocker not Throttlemeister, right?

I have a throttle rocker, great for long rides, terrible for twisties (I bumped the throttle once when I really meant to just lean into a tight right sweeper - it shot me into the left lane so it was a little scary). My buddy has a throttlemeister, I don't really like the idea of it since you actually need to twist the throttle to disengage it as opposed to just letting go. Get a throttle rocker from e-bay, I got a right and left side for about $11 shipped just a few months ago

I like the TM but it's not for everyone ... I would never use either the TM or TR for anything but a few seconds break on the wrist on a long straight hwy with little to no traffic anyway .. I have TCS and it helps me tremendously.

I got a piece of fiberglass and cut it out in the shape of a c. Keep it in my pocket for long trips, pull it out and gently wedge it between grip and igniton switch. I am sure it would rattle out eventually, but it keeps its place for a few min to rest the hand, and only cost $0

I tried one once and it got caught on the cuff of my jacket, it gave some throttle input that almost made me crash. I liked it for a good part of the day until it almost killed me.

Yea um...i think i will just not use one. Never thought of the bad possibilities that might result from its use.
Solution to my problem...let off the throttle for a few seconds and shake the hand rapidly to get blood flow back.

I feel that on a bike you need to have control of as many functons as possible. CC would be nice on long tips but i really never use it in a car.
