if all your gearing is stock, your speedometer should be reading higher than your actual speed. so i don't believe that is an argument that i would throw out there. if it was the other way around (read slower than actual) then you could blame some of it on the speedo. btw how fast were you going and what was the posted speedlimit?

You are toast. There is no way you can blame the speedo for almost doubling the speed limit. Just take your lumps.

The most would be 10% off, that still leaves you with 100. This ones gonna hurt,

You can order/install a speedo healer and make it say what ever you'd like. It has adjustments from -99% to +99% with the finest increments (0.1%). Buy one and make it somewhat realistic. Don't make it read 55 at 115... that would be a little difficult to believe. Now... if you adjusted it to show 65 and you're actually running at about 80ish.... that'd buy you some numbers, but you’re still paying a nice fine in court.

Just pay the ticket man. By the way, might want to get a new lawyer too.

Go to court and try to negotiate some of the points away or maybe the officer won't even show.
Good Luck.
