Read your states vehicle codes. In california its not a speed "limit" its a suggested speed with certain conditions (i.e. if its raining or something you can get a ticket for going under the speed limit). Also if the road hasnt been surveyed in a certain amount of time they cannot use radar to enforce a speed limit on it. But since its a school zone that prolly wont work. Check on ticketassasin.com got some great stuff on there.

I dispute just about every ticket I get... I often plead guilty and ask for a reduction.. it takes nearly a year, sometimes more to get a court date here, so I can budget for the ticket for a lot longer.. good luck man

No more ticket =)
NO MORE TICKET!!!!
Okay so my luck was looking pretty gruesome over the past week but finally that dark cloud has lifted.. the officer didnt show up.. well i think i seen him in the parking lot as I was leaving but too bad for him.. I was there and he wasnt... They cant recall the case can they??? Ne way I told her what had happened and showed the photos.. Even pointed out that there are no "school zone" postings anywhere along the entire road ... She was cool, said she changed it to a warning and waved all fees and no points... Cool beans!

That's awesome! Glad things worked out for you. Not all cops are bad and ticket happy. Sounds like you found a weiner though.

Tre,
Good to hear man... I'll be sure to stay away from your neck of the woods from now on! One good thing about Saginaw is that since they laid off SOOOO many cops a couple years back, they could care less about speeding. I passed a cop doing almost 55 in a 35 and he just lifted his head and watched me ride by.

Congrats on your lift. We have cops sit here during the summer, when school is out, in school zones. They don't turn off the lights and you better slow down to 25 or they will bust you bad. What makes you the most mad is that you know school is out but you still have to slow down.

Another reason im glad to be a firefighter. Got stopped last week for doing 45 in 25. it was 2 motorcycle cops on the side of the road and before i even saw them one of them runs out in front of me to stop me it scared the shit out of me. anyway now im stopped and the cop is pretty pissed off as i was going through my wallet for my info when he caught a glimpse of my dept ID he asked where i worked and almost completely forgot he stopped me. I left without a ticket or a warning i love my job.

I have never been victim to the extra prejudice that bikers get from the fuzz, but I have had my run-ins with the cops while speeding. The one trick I have learned:
NEVER SEND IN THE TICKET...ALWAYS GO TO COURT. in the past ten years, every single one of my tickets got thrown out because the COP DIDN'T SHOW UP. Why? Because enough people send in their tickets to compensate for the very few who show up that it's not worth it for the police to show up at EVERY HEARING. Unless you did something retarded and got in serious trouble where you have no choice, GO TO COURT. Even if you know you were wrong, let the judge sentence you versus suckin' it up and paying the fine right after getting the ticket. No fines, no points, no nothing. I think that is worth taking some time off work.
Saved my arse TONS OF TIMES.
Man I wish state police worked like that here in VA majesty. I got a ticket in chesapeake va for driving 72 in a 55 and went to court in hopes of either the officer not showing up or the judge being leniant, neither happened, had to pay the ticket and stupid fees.

Ummmmm.... the cops never show up to court in Wisconsin. Do you know how many cops there would have to be if everyone showed up for every ticket in the court room? We have a DA to represent so there's always someone there.

DAMN!!!!!!! That is one sneaky way to catch the speeders....did you know the area?
Lol no, I happend to jump off the E-way and thought, hell I'll take a road I've yet to take... Just my luck.. lol
I tend to lay low in areas that are unfamiliar to me. My first (and so far only) speeding ticket has been from my own town, but that was in the car. I once was leading some friends home and we passed a cop. The cop apparently pulls out sometime behind us and when we're all exiting and waiting at the light at the ramp, he comes flying around the turn (lights on) and slams his brakes b/c we were all there. We moved over and he just leaves...we were like what just happened?
