undertail

I am thinking of going with an undertail from hotbodies. I have the original undertail on my bike and personally I think it looks gay with that big fender on there. I really wanna get this undertail but it looks like a pain in the ass to install with the cutting and all. My question is has anyone already installed one of them and let me know if its not as hard as it looks or what and also was wondering if there is another way I can go without purchasing another undertail to get rid of that big fender look. I was thinking of just cutting it but ya can't with the lock right there to remove the seat. Thanks in advance for any advice given.

here what i did to my cbr 929rr i also hook my buddy up with the same set up.it makes it look alot better.
it's real easy and cheap!

yea i got an 02 F4i, well the undertail would be really nice to have, but something i would rather buy last on my list. I spent nothing, just took a regular hack saw, and pretty much cut half the fender off. Its not as clean as an undertail, but makes it look alot like a fender eliminator kit, which is all you really need. i would just spend the money to convert the rear lights to L.E.D's, and the rear would be lookin sweet.

i'm in the market for an undertail too. Can anyone recommend any for a 2002 F4i? Any one have the hotbodies one? or any other non-homemade one?

I have the hot bodies undertail on my bike and i think it looks so much better then stock. It came with the bike so i dont know about installation though. If you want pics i can snap some i just love the led's at night though they look awesome

The lock tumbler just actuates a short little cable (like a bicycle brake cable), which pulls the latch, so you can relocate the tumbler anywhere that the cable will reach. I just put a fiberglass undertail on my bike last night, here is a pic. I got it off of ebay for $160, just gotta mount the license plate today and put a small LED in it for a light.

I have been looking for undertails for my bike but it seems the only type i can find is the ones with round taillights. I like the round tailights and all but it seems like too many bikes have this set up. I was wondering if anybody knows of any different looking undertails? thanks

i used a fender eliminator, looks just like the one posted above - cost about $80 and an afternoon to install. not as fancy as a true undertail, but i was also kinda put off by all the round taillights and flush signals too.

Heres my hot bodies undertail

I installed an integrated clear tailight on my 02 f4i.
ANyone know if there's any fender eliminators out there without holes for turn signals in them?
Or an easy way to make it look good without just cutting off the garbage underneath?
