Vicodin Sucks!!!

So I got prescribed some Vicodine for my broken wrist. And they blow!!!!
 
I remember people ranting and raving about how great these things are. The very first one was ok, but now I would have to take the whole damn bottle to feel anything!!!! WTF!
 
Is it normal not to take a shit when you start taking these? Havent gone since they started me on these things. lol

LOL..... Yeah they will have a tendancy to stop you up!  Sounds like you build a high tolerance to stuff quickly. How long have you had the prescription?

I got some the second time I broke my ankle. They just made me sick.

Took 1 pill when I first got them, like around noon. Then like at about 8-9 pm that night, so I could sleep and not wake up with any pain or what not.
 
I didnt take any at all today, cuz I had to drive to all my appt. and stuff. Do I took 2 at 8pm and still have not felt shit!!!

Chop them up and snort them?

Bro I broke my left ulnar in a car accident and let me tell you those things mixed with teramicinas will really mess u up(i had a cold too), and my someone mentioned to me that those things sell in the market for 5 bucks a piece... what a load of crap!!

That sucks! If it were me, I would take two more, hell make it three more! I have a pretty high tolerance for pain pills.
My uncle used to have a pretty good saying that I follow, "If two feels good, then four will be just fine!"
 
I know if I take some on a empty stomach, the reaction time and affectiveness is much different then on a full stomach.
 
If two more don't do the trick, you can always go back to the doc and ask them to give you something a little stronger. The worst they will say is no.
 
I am not a pill popper, but when I get a prescription for them I tend to eat them like candy.  

My room mate has some tequila in the freezer, may have to try a shot or so to give this thing a little jump start.lol
 
Get this, my room mate just got his cast off today, from a snowboard insident. and the second he walks in shows me his arm (cast free) then i wave mine, (got it on today) He like WTF?!?!?!
 
Then I thought I was gonna cry when I told him how I broke it. If you guys dont know, I went down sunday. broken wrist and a few scratches is the extent of it all. not to shabby I guess, but cant say the same for my bike =[
 
 

Damn! I didnt hear. Sorry you went down. Isnt Vicodin one of those pills that you take on a full stomch so it will enter your system faster? It digests with the food and enters your blood stream faster. Have you had anything to eat yet?

I had a ton of pizza, im so full right now, I feel fat.
 
I even took it like literally in the middle of dinner.

I took seven of the big ones (in an hour and a half period) when I had an ACL reconstruction surgery. Didn't do a damn thing. Not even with 7 of them in my system did the pain go away completely, and this "It feels like you're flying" stuff is bullshit.

Just made me feel sick.

yeah, thats true the (feel if ur flying) bullshit I guess only applies to the dumbass high school kids trying to get a hold of some, but it didnt work worth hell for me when a had the titanium plate installed into my arm, it still kept me awake for days at night when it was cold...and it still does sometimes...

After my second knee surgery they gave me a prescription of loratab (vicodin) and it didn't do a damn thing....i called the doc's office, and the nurse told me that they couldn't give me anything stronger----Then she said: "There's not alot i can do for you, but have you read the label on the bottle? It says that alcohol increases the effects....I think a couple of beers with each dose will help" lol.

Of course, i got fat from doin nuthin but sittin on my ass poppin pills and drinkin beer.............

i just got 30 more last night as well for my shoulder..i always take 2 of them and they dont do what they used to..but i dont really care..it numbs my shoulder and puts me to sleep...so its good enough for me.

take 2 of them and chew them, it will help, but dont expect a miracle.  Unless you have 7mg Vic's or above

Percocet works the best for me, and I tell them that whenever I am being prescribed pain meds.  Last year when I was in the hospital they had me on 2 percocets every 4 hours, by the time I got out of the hospital, I had built up a resistance already.

+1 on the percoset... I only had to take about 6 a day after my knee surgery and It was had to even "crutch" around as I was so dizzy... I felt nothing... Just played COD 4 for a couple days and now I've got about 40 pills left... My uncle (doctor) said they go for $3-5 per pill... and people have actualy asked me for them

Sorry to hear you went down.  I have only taken one in my life and it was at work becasue my back was hurting so bad and my co-worker had one.  I felt drunk for like 2 hours and that was the best 2 hours of work ever LOL!

Yeah you need oxycodone. Hydrocodone sucks but should work for the pain if you take a few more. They have tylenol in them so be careful they are toxic to the liver. Only 4k mgs of APAP allowed per day i believe. I wouldnt drink with em, tends to mess up the stomach. Also aids the delivery of the APAP to the liver. Which is no good. Percs are oxycodone, thats why the work well. Any of the opiates will stop your bowels. Sucks, but they do.
 
Street value of oxy is 50 cents a mg. I get 30mg instant release oxycodone for $15 a pop. A fair price considering I can easily sell em for $20-$25 a pill. These are the best you can get. The highest mg dose you can get in instant release before it turns into oxycontin which is time released (easily comprimised though) and also these have no APAP in them. Just half will kill your pain really well.
