The water pump on a '97 F3, slides into a hole in the Crankcase correct? If not the crankcase...what part of the engine is that? sorry for the dumb question...I'm at school and i gotta figure out where the pump goes into

Yeah it is the crank case and the pump is driven off the oil pump shaft..
