I'm browsing on Ebay and found all these different fairings from Hong Kong, the price seems to low to be true, Shipping is a lot but still sounds like a deal. Has anyone here tried them?, let me know.

I have heard a couple of people state that tey don't fit properly and they had to make some adjustments to them (i.e. cutting new/larger holes). Then again, I can't think of ANY aftermarket fairings that I havent heard any problems about the way they fit.

they are junk. paint is terrible, starts flaking and chipping off. plastic is flimsy. nothing fits like it should.

The last guy sounds a little bitter. Maybe he received a bad set. I have the Repsol plastics and I love it. YES I HAD TO MAKE A FEW MINOR ADUSTMENT AND FIND DOME BOLTS SO THAT IT WOULD FIT CORRECTLY but take a look at my before and after pictures and tell me what you think. As far a then being flimsy. I rhino the inside of the plastic to make them stronger. I did the same to my 929rr plastic also to strentgth them. You dont even see the rhino

And here is my 929rr 2001 before I sold it. Remember I RHINO ALL MY PLASTIC ON THE INSIDE TO MAKE THEM STRONGER!

tell me what y'all think!

Is that new plastic work the "Race Plastic" I have seen on some web sites?

If so it is considerably thinner guage material to save weight.

That also means it will be flexible and probably rattle when you run it on the street.

It just won't be the same quality or density of the stock plastic you get from Honda.

The Rhino stuff is supposedly lifetime I think. Just don't get it on the outside of your fairing as it is a thick layer of polyurethane.

I wonder how heat proof it is around the engine?

Hmm. You defintitely raised some important concerns there. If they really are thinner, that would make sense to how they are so cheap, but then again, China can produce products of same or similar quality for less than half of what we can. I guess only the people who have bought them will know.

Yes they are a little thinner but that the reason why I Rhino lined it. Rhino linning is the stuf they put in the back of pickup truck to prevent them from scratcheng the bed of the truck. It cost less than $100. 00 dollors to do the make the plastic 10 times stronger than the original plastic. You will see allot of stunter do their entire bike because of the many crashes their bikes have to endure. THose who do the outside are able to put their bike down at speeds more than 20mph and not have a single mark.

Repsol plastics look good taylorac.  For some reason, it looks alittle different than the true replicas, although I might be thinking about the 1000rrs and not the 929s.

GUYS!!! they are aftermarket CHEAP plastics...... i think it's a great deal that you can change the whole look of your bike for under 500$ and maybe a few hours of customizing and drilling, but that is what owning a sportbike is alllllll  about if you wanna mod it. who cares it they are thinnner, i don't lay my bike down to check how thick the fairings are. they aren't gonna crack either just by lookin at em ok

The paint isn't kick ass, but its good for the money. I've noticed these plastics seem to scratch a bit easier. If you want factory quality then buy factory.
