What is the HRC Mod? I've seen some suggestions on some posts but don't know exactly what it is.

It is a modification that allows the rider to reach the full throttle position with a smaller twist of the wrist. I think the stock throttle is 1/4 turn to full, and the HRC throttle is 1/5 turn to full.

It probably just rolls the throttle cable around a larger effective diameter. With a 12" pulley at the end of the throttle grip, you could have a 1/50th turn throttle if you wanted. I'll stay with the 1/4 turn throttle, it's touchy enough already...

its not to make the throttle more touchy
it allows you to go to full throttle without having to change your hand position
it is not that much of a change to be honest
i have a 15/43 conversion plus the quick turn and it was awkward the first 10 minutes
now it is like second nature
as far as what it is
larger cam and different cables
it is mainly so that when you come out of a corner and need to throttle up so you dont blow the exit you dont need to move your wrist as much to spin up and possibly upset the bike
with a little hand control it is awesome

I see, so the hand grip doesn't change but the cam/pulley at the throttle body is different. That makes sense. I realize the goal of the HRC throttle wouldn't be to make things more touchy, I just figured it might be a by-product of a faster opening throttle. It sounds like HRC came up with a good cam profile, so it's not an issue.

i just installed it last week.....its worth it i think...gives you the oppourtunity to go in and adjust cables at bottom, and it is easier to use to ride.

well technically it is a faster opening throttle
but not by much
figure oem is 1/4
hrc is 1/6
not that much of a difference but just enough to count

How much does the set cost? where would I look for more research? Is HRC mod good enough of a search starter?
