Is it possible to wheelie an 87 cbr600? Theyre like 400lbs and only like 85hp...or something along those lines...If so how would you wheelie? You HAVE to use the clutch right? at what rpms in what gear would you pull up? would you pull up or let the bike do the work? would you rev up the rpms and then let the clutch out fast or slow? Once up is it hard to balance and control? How to come down saftely?

I know its very dangerous, i dont plan on ever wheelieing on the street...but Im interested in learning how to do one just to mess around in the empty parking lot down the street from me.

Yes you can wheelie them..........yes in 1st gear with the clutch. Read in the stunt section on how to perform the clutch wheelie. I used to pull mine up in 1st wiht the clutch and then shift to 2nd and so on. Can it be done........yes. I've seen every matter of bike wheelied at some point. Gold Wings can do it........surely your CBR can too. Just takes practice.

I can wheelie mine up to the BP with no clutch. I cruise at about a steady 7k or so rpm, and then peg the throttle. I let it off a little if I go too far back. I can clutch it in second, but not aall the way up to the BP. But I haven't tried very much. Seems pretty hard on the clutch. Not that I'm encouraging you to do it. I'm just saying that I can.

If you change the gear ratio it is really easy with an F1. I have rode wheelies on many other bikes that are heavy and most of those didn't have half what the F1 has. Also, I am told that the front end may come up on a F1 without using the clutch in 1st if it is a good running one. Some that are older don't have the power they once did because of loss of compression and not being tuned right.

I can throttle mine up...but not all the way to the balancing point and I wouldn't recommend it. Clutching it is the easiest way, you can make it come up nice and easy but of course it takes practice and balls.

Mines like Hurricaneforces, goes right up at 7k but not to the BP Clutch wheelieing(gosh i know thats spelled wrong) is a little easier to get to the BP. But, I stopped doing that because it was getting real expensive to fix every time I fell down. Actually never went down on wheelies just indos, yes hurricanes can do those too, and I've been down 3 times now while showing off. SO the answer was no more showing off! (it kinda hurts more than your pride when you go down at 40, $350 in parts and a month to heal). K c-ya

I can bring my 88 hurricane 600 up in 2nd with no clutch, no problem. I can also clutch it up in 3rd. Mine has stock gears, so do not worry about it, just have faith in your bike and it will do what you want.

I can do wheelies on 50cc atv's/mini bikes, you can damn well do them on a 600cc bike

Sick, Im still having a little trouble gettin it up easily, it does come up though, so I just ordered a stage 1 chain and sprocket kit off of ebay. Should help out a lot gettin the bike up, and not sacrifice top speed.

My 90 comes up fine with just a little clutch.... even before the jet kit and K+N.... Just make sure the back tire is warm as that skinny rear tire likes to spin

Here is a pic of me gettin up on my old bike.... an 81 GS550 ..... 450lbs, less than 50 hp, and my 250lb ass on it .... any bike can wheelie you just have to practice
