Well I think my bike is back to it's pre asphalt sliding condition now.... got my new stator cover on yesterday, got the tail section and front upper fairing back from my buddy about a week ago from being repainted, plus a few other new parts and pieces that were scratched or broken.... replaced. She's good as new! The front upper was such minimal damage that they didn't even have to repaint the whole thing, just spot painted that one little area and got it to blend perfectly... can't even tell it was there. The tail was a much larger area, and was also rashed, but they tried spotting it just to see. He called me and said he wasn't that happy with it, so I told him to just go ahead and sand the whole thing down and repaint the entire tail again. So he did, and did an awsome job yet again!!
Took a few pics tonight... not the greatest though since it was getting dark
Never even know it was rashed.... the whole area right below the little peg hook on the side
New stator cover + new side fairing
Upper was scuffed on the very outer edge next to the headlight on the L side (looking from the rear)
Also got my new 4300K HID kit installed.... MUCH cleaner install than the previous, and these don't randomly shut off either
Only thing I have left to get is the decals for the tail... the ones I got are the wrong color scheme. I hate the way Honda catalogs the different colors... "type 1, type 2, type 9, ect". Well apparently 'type 1' for the plastics and 'type 1' for the decals are two totally different color combos!
So now I'm happy again.... next step, ditch the donky ears!

Thanks!!
And BRING IT!!

LOL j/k! Actually, in less than 5k miles your odo will show more than mine! Mines gonna be at 00000

Time to sell it... "brand new no miles, never ridden, been sitting in my garage for the last 3 years!" Think it'll work?? But nah, I coudln't sell her... she's my baby

Though depending on how this new job works out after I move, there's a good chance I may be adding an RC-51 to the stable as well! We'll wait and see how it goes

What kind of tires do you use just out of curiosity. I work 75 miles one way from my house, I rode my bike every single day for a month and my qualifiers were toast on my 900 rr. Its up for a replacement and I was looking into something with a little more life... esp if I am just going straight and level on the freeway. BTW I really like the way your bike looks since it got put back together. i have seen F4i's with 5K that dont look nearly that good.

Thanks bro!

For tires, I'm running Michelin Pilot Roads in the rear, which I've been very happy with. No traction problems (well as long as you stay out of the sand, hahahah), and I get about 9-10k out of a rear. The front I did have a Metzeler M1 (or was it M3...I forget now), but just today I got a new Pilot Power 2CT put on the front, and it feels SWEEET! The turn in is completely different than before! Just a little input on the bars in a turn and the bike practically falls over on it's own, lol. And that's just a new front, I've still got a decent flat spot on my rear tire. So I'm thinking of trying a Pilot Power 2CT on the rear when I'm due for a new one, just to try it and see how long it lasts

With this particular exhaust I can't have any passngers. But keep in mind this is sort of a frankenpipe, lol. It's the Hindle can with a Jardine midpipe and mounting bracket (that's why the strap goes over the sticker). The Hindle high mount sits a little bit lower, and has the little extension for the right side passenger peg, so you can keep them both. But I really like the look of the really high mount, and I rarely ever took anybody on the back anyways
