Sup! I'm planning on doing my very first track day sometime this summer to improve my skillz (and FUN) on my bike. I would like to know anything you more experienced guys/girls could share with me. Need to know what all supplies I should bring, estimated costs during the day, tools I should bring, pretty much what you guys take to the track with you. I'm not really going to race per say, but I want to push my bike harder than I can on the street safely and just have a good time. I'm in North Georgia so will probably go to Barber, AL to ride. ANY tips, suggestions, whatever...hook me up! btw, I've got gauntlet gloves, full helmet, leather moto gp jacket, but still need boots and leather pants so that stuff I know.

How's it going? Im new to this site, but been to plenty of track days. I would take a good set of basic tools along. Mostly for chain adjustment, or suspension tuning, basic stuff. Make sure you have decent tread on your tires. Take an extra 5 gallons of gas with a full tank in your bike. That should get you through the day. Take a cooler of water and beverages, just a suggestion. You already mentioned the boots and leathers, so you got that covered. Remove your mirros so they dont get broken incase. Unhook your headlight and tailight and tape over the glass/plastic covers for all lights, blinkers, reflectors, etc. Take a camera. If they do a track walk, I would strongly suggest going on it. And dont get in over your head. You WILL get passed by smaller, less powerful bikes all day long, get used to it before you even start. Good luck, have fun.

Great track day at Jennings GP on July 29 for new riders. Just remember to relax and have fun.

Also take zip ties (I always seem to use a bunch of zip ties at the track), something to clean your shield, a towel (esp if it's hot), a chair, an ez-up if you have one...

good suggestions guys...I'd include some snacks, tent/sleeping bag if you're not staying in a hotel, plenty of duct tape (but everyone has it), front and rear stand if you have one, trailer your bike if you can because riding a motorcycle is fine on the way there, but dangerous after you're fatigued from the strenuous weekend. The general cost depends on the organization, but bring at least 1-200 dollars for pocket cash too. That's all I can think of adding right now.
