Hey, Mark W, I'm from maple valley(by kent) Now in e, wa.(soap lake) The home of wind, every day... In fact, it's steady 35mph, gusts to 45, right now. Unless your used to evasive manuvers, in a tuck... head wind, can minamize w/ a tuck. I.... grip w/ knees, and counter steer w/ the wind side bar, by pushing. It seems to be the fastest way to correct. NOW.... my secret.... If the wind is coming from the left side, I prop my left knee out, cornering style. It catches the wind from the speed of the bike and sort of works like a sea anchor, against the gale. Vice versa. It isnt "chicken", NOT to ride, when the wind is theatening. But w/ caution and skills (practice), OK. Hey mark, where you at??????... Clean and free Ripp'n
