144 on GPS. Speedo was very close. I weigh about 125-130 no gear, no mirrors, jetted, K&N filter, vance & hines pipe, 520 conversion (very kinked chain) 14 tooth front sprocket. w/the new chain and sprockets now I think I can hit a true 146-147 mph. 89 hp. A.

At sea level, humid and 71 degrees starting from third gear, I was able to hit what my speedo said was 135 in about a mile. That included accelerating and then slowing for my left turn. I weigh 175 and my bike is stock except for the Uni Air Filter. Felt like more was there, but CHP's are thick out here and I was pressing my luck. I hear Japanese Speedometers are optomistic anyway, maybe my actual speed was in 120's. Did note however that this little bastard pulled hard right up to redline Put it this way, the bike goes faster than I ever want to go.

do u actually notice much of a difference in acceleration with the 520 conversion? i was thinkin about doing it, but had second thoughts when i found out that the stock chain costs about the same amount as the 520 kit.. quote:

In top speed runs....it may free up 1 mph....but there are usually other variables....no I can't say I noticed a difference because there were more than 1 variable altered (sprocket size, dyno tuning, etc) 1 lb rotational mass is approx = to 4 or 5 lbs static mass. I think you can save...1-2 lbs off the lightweight conversion.... which would translate in about 1 solid HP, give or take. If your stock stuff is fine, I woudn't switch, but if its time to go, throw on some lightweight stuff. A.

Uhm, the fastest I have ever had mine up to was about 100mph... I don't really have a need to go faster then that yet.... Maybe one day.

My top speed is 85mph Heh-heh I have a mushroom plug in my rear tire and I am not supposed to go higher than that. I got the plug a year ago-- zero issues so far. 3,000 miles of riding.

ok ur guna love this story, so its like 130am on a sunday. im headed home from daytona, and i live in orlando FL. no traffic on I-4 so ime doing 120 just chillin, its my first week having the bike. I pass a state trooper and he pulls out and i knew i would be screwed if he got me, so i just nailed it, my screw up was that i was in 6th gear at 120 when i hit it, i should have down shifted. but i was scared. then i turned into a motogp rider, this being my first week riding lol. I was doing 140 pass trucks and cars, i passed another 2 cops that followed me, and im scared shitless thinking im guna die. So now i have 2 lake marry pd's and one state trooper, i hit my first exit and ran a red light light while draging my peg into a turn, then at 80mph slamed on my breaks as my back tired hopped along, went into a turn and hide on a dirt road in some bush's for about 1 hour. i picked my bike up started it and took of. about 10 minutes later i have a cop on my ass, i dont even know where i am but i thought i was done for. he pulls me over and he asks me where my plate is, i was shocked damn thing fell of when i was on i-4, or in the bushs. so he gives me a warning ticket. Then about 3 minutes later i get pulled over again!!!!. now i have on a red and black helmet, a blue jacket, and a straight red cbr 600 f2. this cop pulls me over and i show him the warning ticket and he said oh, ok cuse we got a call from state troopers saying a guy with a blue jacket ran from him, but dont worry i think he had a blue bike. lol i wanted to laugh so hard. i went back to the bushs to look for the plate, couldnt find it been riding with a cardboard tag ever sense. lol fun stuff.
