I ride all year with the exception of snow -- rode in the sleet last year but that was an accident. Never trust the weatherman. Sleet sux. Anyway, I wear my normal jackt and jeans stuff with a goose down jump suit thing over it. Tourmaster gloves for below 40F and Olympia for above 40F. Boots are Alpine Stars. Balaclava under helmet and fog city shield is a must. I've ridden down to 17F for around 45 minutes (to work or back) without too much discomfort. That cold air is good for 10 hp ha ha ha.

I went for a 300 mile ride yesterday and it was windy and cold ( 50 degrees ) and I wear Sidi Vertebra 2 boots, a pari of sweats under my jeans, a long sleeve shirt and a Fieldsheer Cabrio Jacket ( nylon/waterproof/insulated with hard armor) That Jacket is the BEST!!! My friends and I have them and swear by them for keeping us warm. It has been days when we would do 250 mile days or more in 35-40 degree weather and it works AWESOME!! I have some Joe rocket gloves and wear Isotoner (yes womens gloves) as glove liners and those work awesome under my standard road race glove. I read that tip in a Motorcyclist magazine years ago and it works great! I rode to Dillions Beach ( 70 miles north of S.F.) and down Pacific Coast Hwy Thumbnail Image

Yeah, when winter comes around, i have to put the liner back in my Alpine Star T-stunt. And, if it's real cold, a long sleeve shirt under my jacket. Gotta love being in FL!! Tylor

full Dainese leathers, put the liner back in the jacket. I just ordered a Fieldsheer one piece suit similar to an Aerostitch, but much cheaper and it comes with an insulated liner that is removeable too. It will be very warm and water-proof as well.

Tylor Hehehe, same exact thing I do. I put the liner in the T-stunt and I put on some glove liners under my phoenix gloves.

Since gas prices spiked I decided to ride all year round. Last week I rode to work and it was 23F in the morning. I wear a Joe Rocket Meteor 4.o jacket with liner, and JR Meteor gloves, with cotton liners underneath when it gets that cold. I wear a pair of lined track pants over my dress slacks. I just bought a baklava at Target for $8, that should help alot. Ed Teller 2002 F4i
