Welcome to the forum! Glad to see you're not only interested in Harleys like most harley owners are. The sportster 1200 is a nice bike, My uncle has one too. Much better than the 883.
Once you ride the CBR, which sounds like you'll be getting, it's a whole world of difference! And no more of that vibration crap to the point where you can't see what's in the mirrors!

Yeah, I can't stand it anymore, I need the CBR! I just have to work out the insurance. It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine.

In other CBR related news I told my dad I wanted one and he gave me the "you'll kill yourself" speech that his parents gave him in the 60s when he wanted a Triumph Bonneville. He bought it anyway and is still alive but he didn't think that was a good argument. (He rides a giant Harley) Oh well, I'm 25 and I don't need his help or anything, I just thought it was funny. Sportbikes in this generation are what motorcycles in general were to his parents.

Soon...

gotta love those parental speaches. I'm 29, married, etc ......... and my parents have had Harleys for over 40 years. I still got the speech. Not quite the you'll kill yourself, but close enough. Never got that speech with the CR125 though.

BTW- what color are you going to get?

Either the orange or red and black. I like the orange with the tribal flames, it has a nice flake in it, but I love the red and black too.

i love the tribal/orange, but I'm from TN and I hate the VOLS and didn't even want to hear it. Red and black is great. i got black, but the red and black was next on the list.

For the last 2 years, for street experience and saving some cash, I was riding my boss' '97 Fatboy. Finanlly got mine last week! I love my CBR, best of luck getting the insurance figured out. I went with State Farm, they were lower than Progressive. my$.02

Just a suggestion, try looking into drive by progressive. we now have three bikes with them and when we compared with others they were the lowest. Half the price of geico, saved me over $1500 a year.

Nice to see a Harley owner that is into more than just one brand of bike. harleys are nice bikes, but for me, they're just not my style like a CBR 600.

have you thought about the F4i instead of the RR model though? might be less expensive to insure, but I dont know for sure.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I have progressive now, and it quadrupled my premium to add a CBR.

I quoted the RR and the F4i, they were the same, at least to Progressive.

I'm still racking my brain, I'll think of something. The Harley's still fun too.
