I just purchased an 06 1000RR and love it so far. I did the flapper mod and it sounds better. I am curious if any of you have opinions on the Hotbodies Exhaust or the D&D dual outlet exhaust. If you have any pros and cons of each, that would be great. Also if anyone had any pics of their exhausts, I would love to see them. Thanks for your help and opinions. Mike

Can't speak for the D&D, but I was considering the Hot Bodies, the dealer talked me out of getting the Hot Bodies; evidentally Hot is the operative word; the showed me the return slip from another guy with an 06 1krr, he bought it, rode it for a week and returned it; evidentally because its enclosed in an undertail, it gets smoking hot....so hot it melted tail light wiring....I ran into the guy last weekend and actually talked to him, he said the heat coming through his seat was almost unbearable....on the positive side he said sounded sweet, but had to go; he has the akrapovic now

yeah hottbodies have u mount the l's plate on the tail but i went and bout a swing arm chrome mountin bracket from ebay for 50dollars so it looks really clean. i got the hot body from a local place and when i got it i also got a new rear sprocket windscreen front tunr lights speed healer and i think thats it.. so they gave me the hottbodies kit for only 650 .. but if u think bout it..retail is only 750. .. and if u buy the d and d exhaust then a finder ex. kit turn lights ur goin to have at least 750 in it.. and the hot bodies looks so so much cleaner .... hey here is a pic of the bike before i got it painted what u think also the second pic is the bike not finished.. on the black it has blueish ghost flames that i think are kool..

Once again, it looks sweet and I really like the paint on your bike. Looks killer. Let us know if you run into any problems in the future when you can take a decent ride. Do you have a PC3 on your bike also?

I have the hotbodies exhaust on mine and my buddy has the d & d exhaust. He complains about how hot his seat gets but I put the heat shields that came with my kit and I am pleased. The d & d has a deeper bass, but he hotbodies is loud and sounds better at higher RPMs. Just make sure to use the heat shields that come with the hotbodie's kit, or use the factory (modified) if you use the d & d. Either way, you can't go wrong.
