I've had this problem off and on for years and have just dealt with it, wondering if there is a solution other than the one I'll have to do if nothing exists to fix the problem...

Wind hits me right in the chest, and goes up in between my chin and the front of my helmet. It's like trying to drive with your window in your car down and your head stuck out of it... it's not so bad when I am wearing sunglasses in the helmet, but I don't always have them....

Would a double-bubble screen alleviate this by pushing the wind blast higher up? If I put my hand over the gap between my chin and the front of the helmet it stops. If nothing else I'll take a piece of wide tape and put over that gap when I'm getting ready for a long ride... but what a pain!

TIA

a double might help it worked great for me or a cheaper option might be something like this http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=&store=Main&catId=401&productId=p351616&leafCatId=40102&mmyId= ive never tried one but it seems like it would do exactly what you need

my double bubble seems to work pretty got for that; can't hurt to try it, its a fairly inexpensive mode that has an appearance upside too

They sell a wind shield that fits under the front of your helmet. It does excatly what you are doing when you put your hand up there. Its somewhat like the product in the link in the earlier thread, but made for your helmet and not as big. They cost less than $10.

Get an Arai, that'll solve all your problems cuz they have a built in chin-deflector

How about just lowering your chin down a bit when you ride? Or try wearing some sort of neck gator. I sometimes ride with a balaclava, especially in the evenings when it's cooler. Same kind that MotoGP racers wear. It also makes it easier to put my helmet on and take it off, and it also absorbs sweat on hotter days so you don't soak up the inside of your helmet and get it all stinky. Much easier to clean my balaclava then remove all the pieces from my helmet and clean those.

Definately a DB windscreen will help. I felt a drastic change as soon as I installed mine and took a ride. My head didn't get blown all over the place when I turned to check over my shoulders like it did with the stock.

First post on the forum and already a great help, thanks folks.

Anyone got some links to the products you are mentioning? I tried www.helmetharbor.com and good ol' google, but to no avail. I'm going to start surfing thru the forum-recommended sponsors/vendors to see what I can find also.

TGFTI (thank god for the internet)

fyi - don't try this thing:

http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=MRX_MSW3

It comes off of the helmet (a KBC anyways...) the moment you hit 55mph+
