Had my 600RR for less than a month and its gone. Police witness said that it was carted into a back on a white Van in SE London near Greenwich. BUGGER!!! Annoying!! The poor thing will now end up as spare parts or slaving round a race track. Ah... Poor baby.... And she just had her alarm fitted as well. Was only away for an Hour, just having dinner with a friend.

ohhh... sucks.
I would suggest to anyone who's worried about his bike to get a vehicle tracker, something like this. I am trying to get one for my bike, its worth about 500$, the prices range as there are plenty of manufacturers. It uses a SIM card same as the one for a mobile phone. You could fit it under the seat, or in the tool box. It has excellent functins such as it would alert you on your mobile phone by SMS if it was moved. Some even have an alarm system. Runs on its own battery. You can also SMS is and it would send back its latitude so you can locate it on a map. The map and software is usually provided with the device. You can also use the internet to locate the device.
Look up keywords such as car tracker, tracking device, GPS, and telematics. Note that GPS is not exactlly the same as GPRS, what we need is GPS (global positioning system)

yeah was thinking about that. Theres something similar here from a company called data tool www.datatool.co.uk. just had an averto honda alarm fitted less than a week ago. thought that would put them off. Obviously not. *sigh. bugger need to wait for like 3-4 weeks for my insurance to sort things out. No bike in the mean time.

yeah I like to catch them too. it seems her fate is either as spares on ebay or shes gonna be thrashed around a race track without TLC. :( SHITE!!! only racked up 1200miles on her and she was starting to feel very sweet.

Sorry, that really sux, i dunno what i'd do if that happened to me. I had a guy try to steal my kawi just after i walked away from it, thankfully i had an alarm on it so as soon as he touched it the alarm went off, i turned around and he was running away.

Dang man! Sorry to hear about that. I hate jackers, they piss me off. I'm always paranoid about my bike, even with my alarm. I always try to park it where it's within sight.

Sorry to hear that your bike is now gone. We have a lot of bikes stolen in the area I live , Washington D.C., and as I have had a car stolen I know the feeling. I just got rid of my 94CBR600 for a new CBR600RR a month ago and the two most important purchases I made were not fender kits or chrome accessories. I had Lojack installed and purchased gap insurance. Lojack.com if you need info on tracking systems. Dont know if gap insurance is available in england but here in the U.S. it pays the difference between what your bikes value is and what you owe the bank if it is wrecked or stolen. Highly recommended as a friend of mine had his GSXR stolen the day after he bought it and was able to get a new one 9 days later because he was able to pay off the loan with gap insurance.
