Race you in what?? a dragrace? or a motocross race? Granted the dirtbike will pull hard out of the gate but if it is in a 1/4 mile you will probally smoke him. Unless you are racing on a dirt road like in Biker Boyz!!

What does he have done? His bike is lighter then yours so if he as lost of modes you may only have a chang on the top end. But he is going to have to lanch it good. most dirt bike have a hard time keeping the front tire down when taking off on the street. good luck, The RR is a quick bike and if rode right sould beet the 450 unless he has magor mods done like extended swing arm or NOS or any thing major like that.

He has k@N airfilter, jetkit, race sprockets, pipe, and he is also running on street tires, like my sportbike. I hope i can beat him and win the $500 to help pay off the bike, but if i lose then thats $500 more bucks i need to find!!

Your opponent has a supermoto setup. Those bikes can fuggin rail on the back roads. I'm not sure about the 1/4 mile drag race. He could be pushing 80 horsepower and weigh less than 300 lbs. Don't be overwhelmed if he stays right with you. He won't have but maybe a top speed of 100 mph, depends on his gearing. Let everyone know if you run him down the track.

the RR should able to lanch harder becuase of LBS in the front and harder suspension in the back.

personaly i think you should'nt be street racing him. take it to the drag strip or a local track where it's legal. you should respect the sport. but as to awnser your question... supermoto bikes are quite surprizing, he will have harder time keeping front tire down but it all depends on both riders ability but you have the bike advantage. be safe. big bike for a 16 year old kid. i have a 04 600rr. well be safe and let us know how it comes out.

ok if you listen to anyone out there listen to me. I race motocross and ride a crf 250r. The bike is super quick but in a quarter mile it wouldnt come close to my f3. My crf would top out probably are 75 mph in no time. If you were racing 0-60 it would be close but a quarter mile he wouldnt stand a chance. You would be doing 120 at the finish and he would be doing 80. I would say how about $1000. Then I would race 0-60 with my crf 250r vs his 450. And make another $1000. Go for it and dont forget to rev it to the moon and drop the clutch. ;)

you said he has been riding for awhile what about you I would assume he is going to have to change gears a few more times then you assuming you have stock gearing you might have one or two shifts and assuming you don't need you're clutch to shift that right there should give you a big advantage assuming he has race gearing means it's probably shorter gearing wich means more shifting but if he knows how to drag and you don't hard to say I smoked a guy with a R1 last year but he couldn't drive at all

I smoke 450's all day on a CR250. His bike will top out before he even hits the eighth mile. Even if its geared for supermoto he will top out a little after. Your bike will be pulling the whole time. Go for it!
