It would appear that you have more "stuff" to go fast, and some that you are not sure of, but what about experience and knowledge? Know what you have, learn about what you do not know, and you just might gain a little of both (experience and knowledge) and will be able to answer your "how" yourself.

That sucks eh. First, you have a full exhaust? What brand? Is it jetted properly? Man, it really shouldnt take anything to beat an R6. Are you a big guy? I have a full V&H SS2R, -1T up front, proper jet kit, K&N, 520 conversion, and that's all. I can beat a friends stock 954. Can beat another quite large friends 04 Gix1K, and can kinda keep up with my bros 01Gix1K. Stock 600s shouldnt be a problem. Man, I dont know what to tell you. Gotta make sure it is in tune. Esp. with a pipe on it.

I would imagine the "tin" refers to a "tin" can as in a container. Something paint might possibly come in before it was put on your bike. Like the "lead" in the paint from the "tin" can might have been a contributing factor to the slower performance that you experienced. Just a guess though, could be way off. Or it just might be your headers, pipe, and the sprockets you do not know about. Who knows.

By the looks of it you are a big dude, that can make a HUGE difference to the performance. My bro has a 1100 gixxer with a dynoed 130 rear wheel horse power, bike is 470 lbs wet, and he weighs 200lbs. I have a stock 900RR, 115 rear wheel horsepower, 438lbs wet, and I weigh 180lbs, and i can take him (off the line to 3rd, but not roll ons). 900's aren't outright powerfull, it's the lightness of them that makes them quick.

I just sold my 95 900RR. It had a 945 kit, web cams, factory jet kit ported headand -1 up front.... the new R1's and CBR1000RR's barely walked away from me. The 06 636 couldn't even see my plate after 2nd gear... I am not sure what to tell you with yours, but that shouldn't happen.... a GSXR750 maybe, but not an R6. You should have your set-up checked by a pro.
