Ill make sure i am nowhere near you when you are on the streets. Crashing is a big enough concern for riders, now you want to throw in the engine/gas tank possibly exploding on you from noz... are you crazy? I hope you have a GREAT insurance company. How do you get that a cbr is slow compared to cars... you can probably beat most cars in First Gear!!

if you're feeling like the RR is slow, I echo the opinions voiced above. off the line on my EX500, I can beat most cars. on a 600RR, there is NO question, I'd probably beat about 99% of cars off the line, except for those like ferraris, and Vipers, etc. that or a twin turbo corvette with a 505 V8 under the hood pushing around 900 rwhp. you just need to learn how to ride that bike RIGHT. there IS a wrong way, and a right way. you need to practice more with your acceleration, and speed.

YOU GUYS HAVE IT ALL WRONG! mean statements like kill yourself and what not will not educate anyone!!!!!!!!! you mod your bike and what not but guys are correct in that you need to learn the bike too! but to learn the bike, you need to have the proper diet! so tahoe's advice is don't skimp...eat lotsa bananas...cause even a monkey can go fast in a straight line. and when you learn to clutch and shift properly...then let the michael knight big wheel go and get a 250. t

Maybe you have not noticed yet, but on all the biker boards, there has been a huge influx of new riders and squids since "Super Bikes" went on the air. It is increasing the movement that started with "Biker Boyz". Dumb kids and wannabe's see the movie or show and now they want to try and create some status by ruining our sport. Look at the sharp increase in motorcycle fatalities in the past few years. The bikes are faster, but not THAT much faster. It is because there are a bunch of idiots that see the squids on TV, just like those crappy "fast and furious" movies, and then they take daddy's Visa the next morning and go buy a ricer. Ricers are annoying because 99% of them are posers with slow econoboxes and gay looking plastic stapled to them, but with bikes, it is a lot more dangerous, and these accidents and deaths are forcing insurance companies and law makers to take a closer look at our sport. I hate squids. They are idiots and they will in the end kill not only themselves, but our sport. Anyone who buys a new 600rr and thinks it is slow is an idiot who doesn't know how to ride. If you want more down-low power or something because the 600 is peaky, sell it and go get a 750 or literbike.

Actually, the greatest increase of motorcycle accidents is caused by passenger vehicles, not your so called "squids". You know, I do not agree with what he is wanting to do, nor do I think he needs it, but I think I can speak for quite a few people on this board that seem to have small mans syndrom and the only way they think they can make a point is to completely bash someone and act like a hardarse!! And as for your speculations, I have not personally seen either the superbikes show or biker boys movie, but if it is anything like the fast and furious stuff, then I can imagine. However, watching movies like that can make one think "wow, I wish I could do that" but I HIGHLY doubt many of the people that watched the movies and the next day went out and bought a 10000 investment thinking that they are going to do that the next day. Dont get me wrong, probably atleast one person did, but not everyone. But, even if this guy does put a nitrous on his bike, quite effin bashing him. You guys are like, you dont need this, you dont need that. Its like a nitrous kit in a car, its not on all the time. I have a kit in my car. I have used it once on the road, all the other times have been at the track. For the most parts, no I didnt need it, but its one of those things that you LIKE to have. I guarentee that ALL of you have something to a certain extent that you dont need, but you WANT it. Whether it your V8 engines, or you have 4-wheel drive truck when you live in the city or your nitrous in a car (guilty) or you 2500 sq ft house for 2 of you or the supesize combo at Wendys. None of us NEED any of that, we just want it!!! Now, Do I think you need this, No, especially on a bike. Its a lot more unstable on a bike, and if you have ever been in a car when it kicks in, its a nice thrust and jolt. Now, take that, with less of a shot ofcourse, and let it kick in. The thrust or jolt feeling is going to be the same. For the most part, once in kicks (if you plan on using it on the road) in and you have traffic to deal with or whatever the circumstances may be, its too much to worry about on something that isnt worth the consequences. Now, if you make a living dragging you rbike, thats a different story, but i highly doubt thats the case. I say just kearn your bike a lotta bit more and realize what it can actually do. Because is grandmas lincoln towncar or bobs dodge ram or julio's honda hatch is beating your bike, somethin gis wrong. I think you just need to "bond" witht he bike more.

Actually, the greatest increase of motorcycle accidents is caused by passenger vehicles, not your so called "squids". You would be wrong. Cagers have always been here. The thing that is tipping the scales are a bunch of noobs that bite off more than they can chew. You know, I do not agree with what he is wanting to do, nor do I think he needs it, but I think I can speak for quite a few people on this board that seem to have small mans syndrom and the only way they think they can make a point is to completely bash someone and act like a hardarse!! I am not acting like anything. We see this time and time again. Guys that have been riding a month now want to add turbo to their 600rr because their friend on a 750 is faster than them. That's idiotic and squidish no matter how you slice it, especially after they pursue it after 2 pages of people trying to point them in the ight direction. And as for your speculations, I have not personally seen either the superbikes show or biker boys movie, but if it is anything like the fast and furious stuff, then I can imagine. Dont get me wrong, probably atleast one person did, but not everyone. I never said everyone. I said a lot, and bike sales will bear this out. But, even if this guy does put a nitrous on his bike, quite effin bashing him. You guys are like, you dont need this, you dont need that. Its like a nitrous kit in a car, its not on all the time. What he wants to do is in the end going to make his bike either dangerous or he will blow it up, which can be dangerous. I guarantee that if he does this, we will be reading about how he blew his bike up or crashed it when it got away from him. And I think that us busting his balls is a far less costly experience than the alternatives.

According to Oxford Journals, in 2005, 45% of motorcycle accidents we caused by passanger vehicles, 27% well speeding related, 17% we caused by Object Fixation and out of all of those, almost half did not have a proper license. Eitherway, that is not the issue. I said that I agreed with what most of you said, there are just better ways of saying it than the way most of you are. You all claim you are here to help fellow members and share ideas and stories and finds and what not, however, when a question comes around, that yes, seems like an obscured one, most of you act like they just said something to pffend you or your family. I mean, if it wasnt for his post count, which honestly doesnt mean crap half the time, you wouldnt know whether he has been riding for 16 days or 16 years. For all you know, he could be a WAY better rider thatn any of us. But, the sad part is, you all would have acted the same way. There is no need to say YOUR GOING TO DIE or any of that BS. We could all say that about you having guns. That you are just a control freak that needs to have his guns to feel strong and worthy (Which I AM NOT saying that, I have a few myself) its just those things that could be said, but dont need to be said. All I am saying is that myself, and I am sure plenty of other members, are tired of reading post where the same people have to have their tough man attitudes on subjects which is a simple yah or nah question. This supposed to be a place to be able to ask questions that others dont know or get information, not to ask a question and be treated like we just asked to take your wife on a night around the town.

Yeah, the code here is different than most other forums I guess. It seems to be case sensitive, so none of it came out right. In any case, yeah, I jumped on him. Probably because you can see those guys coming a mile away. Anybody with any experience and half a brain would not take a 600 and add NOS. They would get a literbike and be done with it, or add NOS to a Busa or something for drag racing on a track. Anyone who bought a 600rr and come here saying "it's not fast enough" is a person that simply does not know how to ride, or who bought the wrong bike. If some of us are harsh, chalk it up to tough love, or the cyber equivalent to a stooge-slap. Inexperienced folks adding NOS or turbo to a 600 because they want to beat their friend's literbike, are people that end up wrecked.
