Check your fuses my friends bike used to always blow the fan fuses. Also i live in phoenix and even sitting at a red light for like a minute mine still doesnt go over 215 im not sure whats wrong with you bike but i would check out your antifreeze level sounds like you need to add some water

I had the same problem. the answer for me was it was just disconnected. sometimes if you have work done at a shop they have to disconnect things and they just slap thing back together after they fix the original problem. the main connection is on the left side fairing right in the hole were you can see the fan. if everything looks hooked up check fuse, fluid etc. GOOD LUCK

check your fuse, it will be in the fuse box which should be right under the front seat, a couple days ago my tails lights and gauges shut off so i check the fuse it was blown i dont know why but ti was i desided to check the other ones while i was right there and sure enough my fan fuse was blown also i had no idea and i'm glad i found that out before i hurt my bike b over heating it. so check your fuse you'll be happy if its that cuz its a cheap simple solution.
