Question: Did your girlfriend buy your bike for you or is she paying for the tank pad? IMO, you should do what YOU like - you're the one that is riding the bike. Girls come and go but (hopefully) your bike will be around for a while.

And don't get mad ladies, I'd tell you the same thing if you said "My boyfriend doesn't like the new grips I want for my bike."

I think the pad's pretty bad a$$ though... my $0.02

Someone tell me what a tank pad does. Cosmetice aside it seems like the most pointless thing ever invented.

The pad helps you avoid (or hide existing) scratches around the belt buckle area. And some jackets even have exposed metal snaps that can scratch the tank up in that area.

No offense intended CBRCorey, but after looking at the bike in your avatar I doubt you're all that concerned about a couple small scratches on the tank!!

I think that pad rocks. Let us know where you can get it. I want it. It would go very nicely with my Red/Silver F4i.

Pretty funny!

Since when does it matter what a girlfriend thinks of your bike? If she doesn't liike it off with the seat and on with the cowl; they only weight you down anyways :D
