Just put one of these on last week. Went to wash it today and noticed the the rubber wheel/metal wheel holder is digging grooves right into the damn fender. Anyone have a fix for this?

Sounds like the roller is not rolling like it's supposed to or it is rolling and the scratching can't be avoided. Maybe buy a cheap tank protector and cut a piece and stick on the hugger fender over the spot that is getting scratched. I think that is what I'm going to do since I just ordered one from Comp Werks today.

Have had the same problem.
Easy and cheap fix
From the drain hoses that hang out of the bike (one of mine was really long), cut a little piece, just the size of that clear plastic roller, and replace.

With a little Honda cleaner, you can disguise those grooves, if they are notorious, try thin sandpaper or something to that effect.
I really like my fender eliminator, more so the fact that the license plate is lit, so the cops don't have another reason to stop me

Good luck

I just took a black "number" ( like the ones you buy for a dirt bike number plate)...the #7 and cut the thing into a strip and put it on my fender, works great....and the sticker is getting scuffed up, but that is why it is there, if it gets too scuffed up, I will replace it with another strip..numbers are sold in packages of 3

That leads me to my next question. I could not figure out where to put the plate light so I removed the bulb and tucked it under the seat. Where'd you put it?

You've probably figured this out by now, but I thought I'd share it anyhow.

1. The Fender Eliminator has a slot/provision for the stock license plate buld. It should be in the upper left hand corner, just inboard of the left turn signal.

2. CompetitionWerkes now offers a thin metal strip with adhesive backing that is used to save your fender from the digging.

Hope this helps.
