or if your going about 50ish *around 7krpm's* in second gear you rev the bike up to about 13,000RPM's and dump the clutch the bike will smoothly lift up to 12" on the freeway.

Anyone with vids yet? I'd ike to see how you guys are doing it. I can ride sitdowns in 2nd for a long time, but standups still scare the hell out of me LOL. I have tried to power it up in 2nd in a stand up and can get the front to come up about 12" then I set it back down. I don't clutch my 2nd gear wheelies, but I do clutch my 1st gear ones. Mabye I'll have to try clutching in 2nd and see how that feels. What speed are you clutching 2nd? I'm down on in the front and can power it up in 2nd but I bring it up at about 60-65 then I don't have much gear left tro get it under control. Ok I guess thats it for now -Jesse-

I have a 2000 F4 and when Im doing my 2nd gear sit downs I get going and when I reach 7,000 RPM's while accelerating slip the clutch and Im up in the air. I dont have to rev it up to 13,000rpm to get it up at all. Try just accelerating and at 7 or 8 grand slip the clutch with one finger and it should come up. I gonna try stand ups tomorrow. thanks for the advice on stand ups, but when staggered doesnt your passenger foot peg want to fold up? mine does and I heard from some R1 riders it does as well.

ORIGINAL: The Batwing i usually do this in first gear , its a bit harder in second without help from the clutch im rolling around 7k rpms then gun it to about 11k let off , and then snap the throttle and pull back on the bars.. works for me standing up, slipping the clutch, and pulling up on the bars in first gear is asking to flip. I would suggest you not do that anymore. When i do second gear standups, I'm usually going between 35-45 MPH. It's almost the same as a first gear sit down, as far as clutching. In first, I just slip the clutch slightly, in second gear standing up, I hold the clutch in for a split hair second longer, to get the rpms a little higher. Bike comes up enough to where you can adjust your riding point with the throttle. ie, more throttle, closer to 12, less throttle, closer to the ground, etc...

when i do my first gear wheelies, i pretty much come to a stop and then clutch it...i like them to be about 10-15mph.... for second gear, i stand staggered, going about 30-35, pull in the clutch and rev it up just about to rev limiter and then release the clutch.....comes up to BP fast and thats how i like it.....
