i'm thinking of getting the pig spotters but i wanted some feedback from you guys first. is it even worth the money? i mean, does it even really work that well? i'm just so curious since it has a tag price of a bill.

as far as functional mirrors go they are basically useless good though if you dont use your mirrors but still want a street legal set of mirrors so the man wont give you a hard time.

I would take my chance with getting a ticket before i put that junk on my bike. Check your local laws, u may not need mirrors and even if you do not all police know if you need mirrors or not. If you do get the ticket it should be just a fix it ticket (meaning fix it and show the correction to a law enforcement officer and it cost like 6 bucks..... good luck

I know Nietzsche stated "that which is behind you is not important" but I'm certain he wasn't referring to traffic. Pretty much always check the mirrors and do a head check before I go squirtin across the lanes -- got bit one time and was lucky not to die. Once bitten twice shy -- use da mirrors

They also make a TINY camera system with monitor that fits in yer windscreen if you are willing to spend $400.00 to get rid of them. Personaly, i dont hate mine that much yet. I looked at those pig spotters too and as much as i tried to talk myself into them, i just think they look like donkey mash.

well i rode without the mirrors for about a year and can say "you dont know what you got till its gone". The main thing about not having them for me was not regular traffic cause i would just look before changing lanes (it becomes pretty natural after a bit) but spotting the cops tring to sneek up on ya. Looks pretty bad when your going about 100mph and decide to look back and theres a coop with the lights on about 20yards from ya.

I know what you meen about looking back.I just seems to me that taking your head and turnning it around to see whats comming up behind you is risky.I mean your actually taking your eyes off the road.I have done it and thought about and figured there has to be a safer way.Mirrors is one way that works best for me.

I took the bike out for a ride without the mirrors and i gotta tell you, i need my mirrors back on. that shiat ain't safe. i had to look back all the time and the worst part was, i couldn't tell if there was a cop behind me or not.

I have the pig spotters with the incorperated blinkers on my 06 1k they are sick, goin against what everyone said. They are better than havin no mirrors at all. At night they are the sweetest they have a red ring around the mirror itself that blinks along with the led on the front. They are VERY easy to install and wire up. Go with them you wont regret it.
