I think it may be helpful to know how to wheelie & endo, just in case, but I have not attempted doing it. The only time I endoed was when I was cut off by a car and of course lost control.

I don't think ladies (or gents) who decide to keep the rubber side down are suffering from a lack of bravery. 
Stuntin' is something that can be very exciting (to do or to watch), but as it's illegal in most areas, should be done in a controlled environment.
Check out RoadRashChic's forum... the girls over there primarily stunt and/or race. You should be able to find lot of pointers on stuntin' as well as stories from those who've been at it a long time:

Forgot to mention that site...LOL...good Neebelung. I don't encourage it, but I do think it's something that could help in avoiding accidents. If I knew how to endo, maybe I wouldn't have freaked and went flying off the bike....you just never know.

I disagree... I don't think knowing how to do an endo can help in avoiding an accident/mishap. Knowing how to control your bike (I don't mean you personally) is the best prevention.

My hubby and his friends always use to tell me i should try doing wheelies, but now that I've been wanting to for a while, my hubby and his friends all think that i should keep both tires down cuz i'm a girl and they don't think girls have the strength to do one (which just makes me wanna do it more). we go back and forth about it every once in a while, but if we ever get to a point where he thinks it's okay at the same time i'm ready to try, ya never know, i'd just hate to mess up the paint

I know what you mean, but a car pulled out in front of me another time so quick that I had to almost slam both brakes....if the bike came up a little from that I would have preferred to ride it out, than drop the bike b/c I was scared of an endo....do you know what I mean?

I have done both.... wheelies mostly. I have yet to clutch it up in 2nd, but am working on that. I can pop it up in first and ride it out and I am trying to shift into 2nd before I come down.. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But, I am getting better! It just takes some practice. My first stoppie happened a few weeks back quite by accident. I was in traffic and some guy ahead of me thought he'd be funny and stop really fast in front of me. I didn't even have time to think about what I was doing, thank god it just came naturally. I grabbed a whole lotta brake and the next thing I knew the rear end was coming up and I found myself looking at the guys rear fender and noticed that my front fender was less than a 1/4 inch away from him. Gravity overtook the bike and I came back down onto the pavement. It was so damn smooth, i wish I had it on video! I'll probably never be able to do one that good again. There was a guy further back in traffic on a GSXR that saw me and complimented me afterwards on the exceptional stoppie. LOL! Too bad I didn't tell him that it was completely by accident and that I needed to check my pants!

Stunting is just that - Stunting. Stunting is not intended to be used as evasive measures in the event of an accident or near accident.
Emergency braking techniques are what will save your bike and your life in such an instance. Practicing THOSE skills, rather than stunts will do far more to prevent such mishaps:

Stunting isn't safe, I know that and by no means am I interested in damaging my bike...UGH!!!.... Interesting find!
