Hey all, I'm changing in some Silkolene Pro 4 10w40 and a Mobil1 110 oil filter. 9055 miles on the odometer. I had a small concern with engaging first gear after the bike was at riding temp, around 170 degrees F. It was quite noisy, not quite a Clunk, but noisy. I am hoping this high dollar estor based syn oil will make me feel better. Piece of mind, you know? x

still clunky when engaging first, and oddly enough, in the first fifty miles i had 3 missed shifts. i hadn't had a single one since buying this beauty. i'll be changing back to the mobil1. x

was this oil made for a wet clutch? I run amsoil because it has no friction modifiers added so it wont effect your wet clutch setup. Not sure if it would cause a clunking going into gear or not.. I think that would come more from having the clutch cable aligned improperly than from what kind of oil you use.
