I noticed the same thing, it just doesn't have that ummph in first untill about 5k RPM. I'm hoping that when I install the PC it will clean up the low end.

The flapper fully opens as the 1nd set of injectors come on... I'm going by memory, but I think its
5500rpm @ >25% throttle. I could be wrong on the flapper part too :)

Hmmmmmm, I know these bikes flapper mod or not tend to do that anyway...but mine has become way more apparent since I did the wide tire kit and stretch, this being beacuse of the added weight to the bike and added rotating weight, plus a slight delay i imagine in the much longer chain. I wonder, if I undo the flapper mod will that help me get some torque back? Comparing it to a car...if you run a large intake manifold, its good for hp #s but lowers torque. Is this kinda the same thing???

I dunno -- I completely removed my flapper (if you think the hose is a bee-yatch you ain't seen nothing) and the low end throttle response and slight hesitation went away completely. Best bang for the buck ($0) I've done on this bike.

You need to post up in the " Mods that don't work or were not worth the $ " thread that's going around now and let peeps know that it didn't work out for you personally.

Something that a lot of us forget is that even though these bikes are made outta the same parts going down the same assembly lines they are each a little different and some will not take to certain mods as well as another will. Doesn't really make sense but sometimes it works that way.

it looses a slight bit of low end tq when you do the flapper mod cause it doesnt have as much back pressure.. its only really noticeable leaving from a light nut other than that once your rolling its insignificant..

Ahhhhh, Ok, thats what I was wondering...They had a drag racing weekend at that Conesville Iowa weekend thing i posted in the events section....anyway. I was havin alot of trouble launching the bike after I did the stretch and tire kit. I need to get some torque back or gear it or something. I am trying to get a front sproket right now, but being offset I guess they have to make it so hopefully it dosnt get put to the bottom of thier pile for too long.
