My advice is don't worry about a smidge of power lost below 3500rpms -- it's not important I swear. Heck, I launch at over 4000rpms. So unless you really like to lug your bike it's just not an issue. It's sort of like a truth in advertising kinda thing: yes Virginia, you do lose a bit-o-power in the lower rpm range with a slip-on or full system. But like deezuhl points out, it flattens out your curve and makes more power where you can really use it. It's not like you're gonna go balls to the wall into a curve then up shift to 6th and exit it at 2800rpms ... that'd just be silly
