so i just wanted to share my experience on my first road trip. I went from Albuquerque, nm to Madrid, nm then to santa fe, nm and back to albuquerque. the total trip was 150 miles. let me say, this was the roughest 150 miles i have riden. I am not used to the riding position yet i guess.
anyway, i went with a guy that has a cbr 600 f3, a guy with a 06 triumph bonneville and a guy with a 06 harley vrod. the harley guy and i were joking about how we arent supposed to be on the same 10ft stretch of road. they are all newbs to motorcycling so they we tearing up the streets before we left town. then it was the thing to race me once we got on the open road. the harley was the fastest of the bunch but still couldnt touch me. we got to madrid and looked around, very small town. then on the way to santa fe, my bolt that holds my clutch lever in fell out somehow. when we got to santa fe, all of the motorcycle places were closed except for one, the harley dealership. they were actually really nice to me, helped out a bunch and got me back on the road.
the last leg of the trip was a 70 mile ride without stopping, my legs were hurting! other than that, great day.

lol... congrats on your 1st road trip

you'll come to learn that 150 miles isn't that bad the longer you have your bike. great pics in your gallery and NICE bike!
