I'm just wondering here.. how interchangable are the engines in the 1000F's between years.. does anyone have any clue if a '96 and 88 engines have similar motor mounts? I'm intersted since if i get a bike of a differant year, and keep my 88, I might go with a stage 2 kit or something, bore it, stroke it, higher compression, and would want to be able to do this while still having a bike to ride

any info appreciated
