I just put a 2 bros slip on on my 929 and it pops a lil when I lef off the gas, seems to be slight back firing. From what I know a slip on can make a bike run lean. Do I need to get a power commander and re map the system? Or is there another.... cheaper way to fix this problem? Thanks, Josh

Getting a Powercommander is pretty standard with a new exhaust. There is no cheaper fix. If you cant get a PC yet, you might be better off going back to the stock can until you do.

you say I might be better of with the stock pipe... is that because of loss of power or can it actually hurt the bike?

Itd not going to run right. Most likely too lean and that can hurt the bike.

It's not backfiring. That is the PAIR valve injecting air into the exhaust to burn off unburnt fuel when you roll off the throttle.

You don't need a powercommander with a slip-on, and the sound is completely normal. Don't worry about it.

no problem man;

& definitely better than spending $300.00 on a PC3 when you don't need it

now if you were going to go with a full exhaust .. then you would certainly need the PC3

yea, I plan to go with full 2 bros eventually if the bike doesn't sell. So about how much would it be to tune a PCIII?

just get the programing off of dynojet's website. you don't need to get it custom tuned unless you race or something, or if they dont have your exhaust setup on there. The pre-made tuneing program will get you about 90% effecient. that extra 10% you would never notice. so dont bother unless you have to or you race. my 2 cents.
