well the way the voting tends to go the new bikes tend to win even if the older ones have way cooler stuff done to it, maybe it's not a bad idea?

Thought maybe we could do year and class, Fs and RR's, mix it up not always the "money bikes" they look sweet but hell, some of us have other more important things to spend money on, I would love to spend money on after market stuff but hey !!! I dont, soooooooo may be we could do diff years and class.

We could always just say everyone's a winner... and put "2005 Participation Award" under everyone's names...

Serious awards are for people who make their bike their life's crowning glory...

In my cricket club, we have annual awards and most people get at least one... there's the standard "best" awards, but then there's the "piss take" awards... this is where the fun is.

I'm sure the moderators won't mind people making up awards that they think their bike can win and then see if someone else can out do it... as long as the award isn't too specific. I reckon my bike would win the "Best stock black and yellow '95 CBR1000F with over 100,000kms" but that doesn't really mean much.

Everyone know's their own bike is great... it's just a pity no one else can see the fact as clearly as me.

The sad truth is that even with like a jillion members we can barely generate enough interest to get 5 nominations and 200 votes per month. If we had a ROTM category for every model CBR then we'd be lucky to get 5 votes in each section. If we get enough interest I might be persuaded, toward the end of the year, to do a multi-model ROTM contest ... hmmmmm, twist my arm

That's because almost every bike nominated is a new RR, 600 or liter, or an F4i. Anyone can buy a new bike and throw mods on it. I did. It just gets old. And then there are people whoring for nominations on top of it because they put every possible mod on it. It's like buying a brand new vette or something similar then taking it to a car show.

Dude, YOU can nominate any bike you want as long as the owner is an active member and has a gallery. So nominate an old bike that's dressed up. C'mon, I hear a lot of complaining about how ROTM is handled and how "the same" bikes get nominated every month. If this is really how a lot of peeps feel then get involved and nominate the bikes that you really like and then I wanna see 500+ votes
