Hi All,

I'm a new member of this board. I would like to introduce myself briefly. Sorry for my english. I am German citizen and live for 1 year in the states. In Germany I drove a CBR900RR (SC33).I bought in US for 4 weeks ago a new CBR1000RR (SC57). I did not drive so very much thereby, approx. 300 Miles. I am so far happy with that. My question: has someone problems with the chassis, particularly with the fork or brakes. In Europe, particularly in Germany it gives with the Honda CBR1000RR Year 2004 + 2005 many complaints at Honda.
Particularly the fork is a problem. With it brakes catches the whole fork to swing, so on violently that must the brakes again be released , in order to avoid a crash. Is this problem here in the states also well-known or someone this also happened? In Germany those concerns the largest motorcycle magazine now with this problem. From honda Europe there are so far none in addition. I hope that us in US this problem here not happend.

If you are saying that the front brakes receive so much vibration hat the brake must be released and re-applied, I agree. I have that issue when I am slowing to a stop if I hit a bump in the road the front brake gets very shakey and does not slow smoothly. I did not know this was an issue and planned on bringing it to the dealers attention the next oil change. Is there a fix for this?

Now explain how it skipped my bike -- I haven't had the remotest hint of a shudder while braking hard. When are you guys noticing it -- when the brakes are cold or hot or both? I know in the owner's manual they make a big deal about the clearance of the caliper and rotor when you reinstall the wheel. When changing my tires I put everything back the way it came off (clearance was fine) and still have no problems.

Possibly more when it is cold. If I hit a bump when doing 40 about 50 feet from a light it will shudder, or even if I am braking pretty hard and need to turn in my brake. I thought it was just me. LOL, maybe still is.

The problems those to be described there, are very precarious in my opinion. I hope which I thing wrong and it hopes that I have far much fun with my cbr..

I will try the intressanten contributions to translate. If someone is intressiet to it, then I will put it in this thread. Today I am driven some milen with my CBR I anything noticed, I am happy with my bike.
