I recently sold my '04 599 and stepped up to an '06 1000rr and love it of course, but the rear seat just isn't nearly as friendly to my girlfriends boney ass. She loves being on the bike almost as much as I do, and is disappointed that she doesn't think she'd be able to handle anymore longer pleasure rides. Anyone know of any better seats for passengers? Or any tricks that your girls use to help them on longer rides?

Dude i have just done 2500 miles in 1 wee[image][/image]k on my 05 blade around the south of france.... Now thats a sore ass for you man !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take the rear seat to an upholstery shop and have 'em put in some extra padding. Prolly lose the useless strap but that ain't no big.

Quans -- that pic with the mountains in the background was excellent. I'd love to ride over there ...

your a lucky bastard, and i envy you greatly!! i rode my 954 from san Deigo CA to Charleston SC, three times, and it was not nearly as pretty.
and while we are talking, is it ture that the french hate us? or is that all media hype?

Jag Chain cbr04 and Demon cheers for your comments guys,i have hundreds of pix from our week away i am like most English guys and hate the French but after this week i have changed my views of em ,They were nothing but accomodating to a bunch of 8 lads from Manchester on bikes,the french car drivers just love bikes and bikers if your on the paeage (freeway) or out on the twisty mountain roads they are in the dirt to let you get through safely and quickly.

Our route went like this:

Manchester to Dover then on the euro tunnel to Calais to Laon on day1 total mileage 490 mainly on freeways
Laon to Grenoble' A mixture of A roads and freeways mileage 420 ish
Grenoble to Canne' A roads on a road called the N85 Route Napoloen wot a fookin AWESOME DAY mileage 220
Canne' to Torino in Italy down some of the best twisty roads i have ever ridden 200 ish miles down to sospel and takin in the Tende' Pass didnt stop smiling all day and night
Torino to Annecy another day in the twistys 200 ish miles in to the french alps through Val desair the sking resort very very nice the scenery man is breath taking and to ride your bike through snow capped mountains is weird but fun as the roads are clear 190 miles
Day off the bikes in Annecy
Then it was the slog back to Calais then back in England home to Manchester..

All together a top trip roll on next year we are off to spain also managed to hit the rev limiter in top now you dont get to that much in the UK

Corbin has a seat for the passenger. They produced it for the 600rr but it does fit on the 1000rr with the use of a few washers (supplied by corbin).
I purchased one for my wife this spring and the wife loves it.

Had the same prob goin from my 03 f4i to my 06 1k. She'll break it in after a while. Same with the riders seat there stiff when they're brand new

Sorry, but RR bikes just aren't made for 2 persons. There's no way to get it comfortable for passenger.
You should buy some other bike if you're riding together with one bike. Or you should buy own bike to your girlfriend!
