so a friend from work and i went on a 3hr ride today thru the back roads in the sticks. he has a 04 yamaha R1. all i have to say is SWEET!!! that bike is bad ass. he even let me put a few miles on it while he rode my 600F3. that dayum bike pulls and pulls and pulls. what a difference from my little 600 compared to his 1kr. i was a bit nervous riding his bike, but after the first or second shift i felt comfortable enough to get on it a bit. that thing is easy to pull up in 1st, 2nd and a bit in 3rd, unlike mine. lol he was pulling wheelies at 100mph and riding them for about 1/2 mile or so. but that doesnt impress me much, the power and sound impresses me most about his bike.
the seating is way different than my bike. mine is a bit more comfortable (more cushiony seat), but i do like the way im positioned (seated) on his over mine.

one good thing that came out of letting him ride my bike was that he said it rides excellent, no wobble at high mph, and handles really well. as well it should with only 4500 miles on her.

i had a run at him and his bike (his call). he undoubtly smoked me, but that was the first time i actually opened my bike up to see what she could do. i was shifting at 10500rpms all clean shifts, then i peaked at the speedo, and i was doing 125mph so i backed down on the throttle. then he blew by me while i was going 125 like i was standing still. he said he was at about 170mph then he backed it down. i dont normally get on the throttle like that, or go that fast but it was out in the country, clean smooth roads and no one on the roads. so that was/is my excuse.

Your going to think any 1000cc bike is sweet if you are riding a 600. I owned an F3 and anything else I rode that had more power was sweet to me too.
