Hello all,

I just grabbed a set of Shogun frame sliders for the bike. I'm not a complete idiot. I've done a good amount of automotive work and bike work before. I've just never installed frame sliders before and just wanted to know what to expect when installing them. I know I'll hafta cut the fairings, which im not really too upset about. Just wondering if you guys could kinda skim through the process for me, just so I know what to look for, as far as installing them. Thanks.

Not all frame sliders have to be installed via drilling a hole in that expensive fairing. There are brackets that can go behind your fairing and still give you the protection that you would have whether mounted through the fairing or not. It looks like an old school window handle for a car.

I'm not sure if these have that option. When i bought them it specified that cutting would be necessary. Not to mention most if not all frame sliders I've seen for my bike model require drilling.

Just remember once you mark out where on the fairings you have to cut. Cover the area with masking tape. As you cut, that will help protect the rest of the fairing.
