I've gone through 2 of the Sylvania HT4 light bulbs in 2 weeks. The Hi Beam side keeps burning out on it. The low beam side works just fine. The Hi Beam will work for a little while then out it goes. Anyone have any suggestions as to what the heck is going on? Thanks.

Matt

Check your voltage regulator to ensure that its not putting out too high voltage. Also, take a volt meter and put it across your highbeams and see if its getting proper voltage there. Also, when you put new bulbs in, wear latex gloves or just don't touch the glass at all.

The light that was in there before, just a plain old bulb, nothing fancy about it works just fine and has been working fine for a long time. Why would the high end bulbs be a problem and the low end work just fine?
