Why is it that doing anything radical and "not of the norm" Is considered posing or squidlike. So some people like to be different and some people like to have a little more fun and show off a bit. If you cant show your skills to people than you are only showing them to the trees and open rode. What fun is that? And I know theres going to be someone preaching about how its dangerous to do anything in town or fly around an on ramp. I myself ride pretty damn safe but I do occasionally want to ride a wheelie for some people and my bike looks no where near normal. I always call it the "Frankenstien Bike" No one around here ever calls me a poser or a squid. They just think I have pretty good skills in handling a bike and that my bike looks Radical.

i also dont mind a little showing off, to each his own, but on the topic of the post (RED TIRES) they are fine if all you want to do is smoke em' off and look cool, i just wouldn't be doing anny cornering with them. they might look a little more atractive of they costed 50-70$ thats about all there worth.

i was unfortunate enough to get a bike with one already on it, the bike was just sitting so he put it on to lay around in a showroom....black tomahawk....it is crap...feels like it has butter on it if you are in the twisties at any kind of speed....i'm trying to make it until winter before i tear my 900 down and give it some tlc(tires, clutch, fork seals, clean up paint chips, paint rims gloss black)...i do not recommend anyone buy this tire...if you want a good stunt tire i heard that those shinko buns are pretty flat and slick...me personally...i'll stick to the curvy country roads....

DT, if them bitches enabled me to ride upside down undr bridges,'cause there so sticky... I'd ride'm till they burst into flames!!!!! but they don't... stick for ****!!!!!!! so... IMHO, that makes em poser tires... for the looks, primaraly. If it were a gas cap overlay and not the primary"stick to the road, keep you alive" function... Aftermarket trick, can be/ is cool (I LOVE YOUR BIKE!!!!)... but... not at a trade off for safety, 'cause remember... they don't stick for **** !!!!!!!!!!! On a show bike... pull up to set the night and chat... Clean and free, Ripp'n

You guy's are brutal! LOL! Them tires are trash and if not nice to them when their cold and or wet you'll be buying bodywork to. DThompson I can think of 100 other things than impressing skanky beatups or aspiring squids. The ground hurts when ya hit it!

I already know what the pavement feels like. When I do tricks, I dont do it without knowing what Im doing. I just have the skill to pull it off safely.

lol
colored tires aren't considered squid-like or poser-ish because they are colored, its because somebody that buys these spent real $ on POS tires that don't stick for crap just to look cool (thats kinda the definition of a squid). and most riders that i've talked to don't even think they look cool

I don't have a problem with guys that make their bikes look good or even just make it look good to them, its when I see a brand new highly modified, custom painted, chromed out bike with a rider that has more than a year of experience yet still doesn't even know how to approach a corner or brake properly and doesn't wear gear that I begin to mock openly

My friend had a green one on the front of his ZX9R one of you ride wheelie next to him for i 1/2 miles and then call him a poser but its true they suck he complains about the tire all the time and its cracking real bad

omg the guy can do a wheelie what skills he must have lol

maybe its just me but somebody's ability to do a long wheelie doesn't really impress me very much. I don't know many riders that CAN'T do one

I'd be all over it if the colored tires put out the same color smoke when you burn it off! Nah, I really wouldn't but it's fun to think about. Now maybe glow in the dark tires...
